Support to Civil Society Initiative

The goal
Support the civil society’s efforts to promote sustainable development of the Central Asian region and enhance public participation in the decision-making process on environmental matters.

Areas of activities

• Facilitate the implementation of the Aarhus Convention goals;
• Support participation of NGOs and promotion of their ideas at the international conferences and forums;
• Develop the organizational capacity of environmental NGOs and conduct trainings for young environmental leaders;
• Facilitate the development of national environmental forums and thematic networks;
• Fund the projects on CAI priorities at the local level;
• Disseminate the sustainable livelihood best practices.
